10 Make-up items worth the splurge

Good Morning  xoxo

Sometimes Make-up can be extremely overpriced and we resort to buying cheap, useless items that get used once and either thrown away or put aside and forgotten about. If you are passionate about makeup you will know that in some cases you need to splurge on products that will do exactly what it says on the label. I do have quite a few drugstore products that are amazing and are my go to every day items but there are some products that you really do need to spend a little more money on.

Here are my top 10 items that are worth the splurge.

1. Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation £30

This foundation is amazing. It has amazing coverage, blends like a dream and lasts all day. This foundation is perfect for photos as it airbrushes your skin and gives a flawless finish. Do get colour matched as initially I chose the wrong colour and had to go back and have it changed. Definitely worth the splurge.

2. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer £17.50

This is a full coverage concealer that is lightweight and blends like a dream. This concealer has become increasingly popular recently and for good reason. Its a little pricey but if you want to look well rested and flawless then this is the concealer for you. A little goes a long way so you definitely get value for your money.

3. Mac Mineralise Skin Finish Powder £24

This powder has an amazing luminous finish on the skin without being glittery. Its smooth and silky and sets any foundation flawlessly. It sets your foundation perfectly without it looking cakey or blotchy. Definitely a must for daytime or nighttime touch ups.

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade £15

This little gem is +AnastasiaBeverlyHills brow pomade and its one of the best brow products that I have ever used. Its waterproof, highly pigmented and it lasts months. It comes in loads of different shades and in my opinion its actually quite affordable for how long it lasts. If you are serious about your brow, this is the product for you.

5. Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette $46

For those of you that have followed me for a while know that this palette is my holy grail of contour palettes. The quality of these powders is next to none. The are smooth, buttery and blend like a dream. My favourite colours are the 2 middle colours as the contour shade is the perfect contour colour and the banana shade is perfect for highlighting under the eyes. Definitely worth the splurge.

6. Nars Blush in Orgasm £23

This is a cult favourite loved my many. +NARS Cosmetics Orgasm is one of those blushes that suits most skin tones. Its a beautiful pink shade with tiny flecks of gold. Applied to the apples of the cheeks it gives a gorgeous healthy, luminous glow. It is small but I have been using mine for over a year and I have hardly made a dent. Worth every penny in my books.

7. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette £39

+Too Faced Cosmetics is one of my all time favourite brands. They have never let me down with any of the products that I have purchased and this eyeshadow palette did not disappoint. It has everything you need to create soft daytime looks to dramatic evening looks. The shadows blend like butter and are amazingly pigmented. I always find myself reaching for this palette when I travel or when I need those perfect every day neutrals.

8. +BECCA Cosmetics and +Jaclyn Hill Skin Perfector in 'Champagne Pop' £30

I don't know what I can say about this product that I haven't already said. I have raved about this product since I purchased it last year. Its the most beautiful champagne golden highlight that is ridiculously pigmented and melts into the skin. It will suit most skin colours as I use it when I have no tan on and when I get my darkest spray tan and it looks amazing every time. If you can get your hands on this product, buy it, you wont regret it.

9. Mac Lipsticks £15-£20

I don't think that I need to go into much detail about +MAC Cosmetics Lipsticks or any other Mac Product for that matter. Mac Lipsticks have been a favourite of mine for quite some time and there is always a colour or formula to suit everyone. Their lipsticks are long lasting, easy to apply and definitely worth the money as they are so pigmented. If you have never ventured into Mac to see the range of colours in their lipsticks I highly recommend that you do.

10. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Palette In Sun Dipped $40

I just recently purchased this on our trip to Florida and I instantly fell in love. I went in to buy a different one but this one just stood out to me. It has 4 completely different highlight shades and all of them are stunning. This palette would suit deeper skin tones and I find that it suits me better when I have a spray tan. The top right colour is stunning on fair skin and the bottom left colour is beautiful as a highlight and as an eyeshadow. Worth every single penny and I would definitely purchase another.

So that's it  xoxo

I hope this helps some of you decide whether or not to save or splurge. Some items are definitely worth spending a little more on as they will last months if not a year or 2. Take some time to do some research and read reviews before you make a big purchase, it will help tremendously in finding out if a product will suit or not.

Happy Thursday Everyone

Love

Kim xoxo
