Good Morning Loves xoxo
Good Morning and happy Monday everyone. Can you believe its Christmas week already and I still have so much to do. For the past few weeks I have been slowly picking up all my Christmas gifts but I have bought more presents for myself than anyone else, thats the story of my life every year at Christmas. One of the gifts to myself was This Highlight Palette by +Suzanne Jackson. I tried to get it on pre order but it sold out in minutes and I was devastated. I waited a few weeks to see if it would come back into stock and when Suzanne had the second pre sale I was working and missed that one too. Fast forward a few weeks, I was at our American football club training and I decided to go to Donaghmeade Shopping Centre for a coffee and lo and behold there was the palette sitting this little pharmacy so I snatched one up straight away. It retails for €29.95 and it's worth every penny.
At first glance I knew that I would love this palette. The colours are all stunning and definitely shades that I would wear. All 6 highlights are beautifully pigmented, soft, buttery and so easy to apply. Some of the shades I can only wear with a spray tan as I do have quite pale skin but it is the whole package in one palette. Its the same size as the Contour palette (Read my review about it here http://blonderthanbarbiex.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/sosu-complete-contour-palette-review.html The size of the highlight pans are quite a lot bigger than I thought so its definitely great value for your money.
After trying all the colours out for a few weeks my favourites are Moon Sparkle, Shooting Star and Unicorn Dust. The top 3 shades are finely milled and great for every day use where as the bottom 3 shades are slightly more coarse and intense so they make for better evening or night time wear.
My go to daytime highlight lately has been a mixture of Moon Sparkle and Shooting star. These 2 colours mixed together create a stunning iridescent pinky gold shade that compliments my skin beautifully. Melted Gold, Peach Smoothie and Candy Crush are all too dark for me for everyday but they are all stunning when I do have my tan done. Candy Crush reminds me of Tourmaline from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Palette.
Just a side note.... Both if these shades are also stunning as an eyeshadow.
Here are the swatches of the colours. This is just one swatch so you can see how pigmented they are. So far I am loving this palette. It's thin, lightweight and would be ideal for traveling as it has every colour you would need for day and night time looks. I have a few items from Suzanne's collection and I have to say I am constantly blown away with the quality of the products. Definitely a must for someone in your life who loves to sparkle.
Have an amazing week everyone and Happy Christmas
Love
Kim xoxo
