October Favorites

Hi my loves xoxo

How can it be November already?? I think I'm in denial that it will be Christmas in like 6 weeks...  November is always a fun month for me because I love Halloween. This year I didn't get to dress up because I had to work and then we had to drive to Derry in the afternoon to collect equipment so we didn't make it home in time to go out. I did post a pic of one of my Halloween make-up looks on my Instagram, you can find my page here www.instagram.com/blonder_than_barbie.

For my favourites I only have a few products but they are definitely worth a mention. I purchased some of these on the recommendations of other bloggers and You Tubers and the rest of them I just wanted to try for myself. All in all I'm extremely happy with everything I bought so it was money well spent.

First on the list has to be my star buy of the month. I have tried this product for the whole month of October and I am loving it.

+Lush Cosmetics  Cup O' Coffee Exfoliating Mask

This stuff you guys... Wow!!!! I have only ever bought a few items from +Lush Cosmetics in the past and I have really liked them but this one blows them all out of the water. It is a coffee infused exfoliating mask and scrub. Apply it to your face and/or body and leave it for 10-15 minutes and then gently scrub it off with warm water. You can use it on your face, knees, feet, elbows and anywhere else you have dry skin. Your skin will feel invigorated, stimulated and softer than ever. It comes in 2 different sizes 150g and 325g. It does smell very strongly of coffee (which I love) but if you can get past the smell if you are not a coffee lover it's totally worth it I promise. You can find it here www.lush.co.uk/products/masks/cup-o-coffee

+Sigma Beauty Kabuki Brush Set

I have never bought anything from +Sigma Beauty before but these brushes came highly recommended by other makeup artists so I thought they would be a great addition to my kit. I wasn't disappointed. They are some of the best quality brushed I have ever owned. They are all densely packed synthetic kabuki brushes and each one can be used for applying different products. I love the F84 Angled Kabuki for my foundation and the F86 Tapered Kabuki is amazing for applying under eye setting powder. There are a little bit pricey but having used them for a few weeks I cant recommend them highly enough. This has to be my new favourite brush brand. I bought mine on +Cloud 10 Beauty, you can find them here http://www.cloud10beauty.com/.

Smashbox Shape Matters Palette

I did a review on this palette when I purchased it. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I felt it needed another mention. This Palette has everything. It is a contour palette for your brows, face and eyes. The colours are gorgeous and highly pigmented, it has everything you need no matter what skin tone you have and as an added bonus you get an absolutely huge mirror with it, what more could you ask for. You can read my full review on my blog. I bought mine on +Boots UK. You can find it here http://www.boots.ie/en/Smashbox/.

+essencecosmetics Eyebrow Designer Pencil

I have been using this eyebrow pencil for about a year and I cannot believe I haven't added it to a favourites yet. I bought this on a whim and I haven't looked back since. It comes in 4 different colours, black, dark brown, blonde and soft blonde. I use number 04 blonde because I am so fair but I could also use soft blonde if I needed to as there isn't a huge difference in colour, its just a little bit softer. I buy mine in +PENNEYS+Primark. The only con I have about it is that its very soft so I do go through it like wildfire but it's only a couple of euro so it's not breaking the bank.

+NARS Cosmetics Orgasm Blush

I recently purchased this blush in +Sephora in Las Vegas and I am in love. I contemplated buying this for some time because with a price tag of $30 ( I think its like €25 or €29) I was apprehensive but I am so glad I took the plunge. It is the most gorgeous shade of pink blush I have ever seen. You can build the colour to your desired shade of pink and with little flecks of gold it just adds so much life and colour to your face, without being too glittery. This blush would suit any skin tone and it is something that I would definitely repurchase again.

+e.l.f. Cosmetics High Definition Powder

I bought this powder in April and I never opened it until a few weeks ago. I needed a HD powder for an event I was attending and I was going to purchase the NYC powder until I remembered I had bought this one. I used it to set my under eye concealer and it went on like a dream. I also used it to "bake" under my cheekbone contour and my face looked flawless. Be warned, don't apply too much because it will leave a white cast in photo's that will look really fake and powdery. A little goes a long way.  I bought mine in Walmart but you can get all the e.l.f. products on +iHerb and they are very inexpensive. You can find the whole range here http://eu.iherb.com/.

+Garnier Skin Care Micellar Water

This is my ride or die make up removing product. It is by far the best make up remover I have ever owned. I have tried Clinique, La Roche Posay, L'occitane and none of these compare to Garnier. I bought this in bulk having tried it for the first time about 6 months ago and I cant get enough. It removes everything from foundation to waterproof mascara and eyeliner. I recently purchased Kat Von D's tattoo liner and if you own it you know it doesn't budge but this removed it without any effort. Holy Grail product without a doubt.

This one is extremely random but here you go...

Snyder's Hot Buffalo Wing Pretzel Pieces

Last but not least is a very random favourites that I couldn't resist. I bought these in a gas station on our way home from Dublin one of the days last month because I was so hungry and Oh My God..... They were delicious. I didn't dare check the calorie content because I could bare the thought of how many syn's were in them ( those of you that follow +slimmingworld will know what I mean) They are crispy, spicy, gorgeous little bites of deliciousness and if you ever get the chance to try them... eat the whole friggin bag, that's what I did.

So there you have it, all my lovely favourites from October. I could probably go on and list loads more but I want to try all the new products for a few weeks before I make up my mind about them. I don't like to try something once or twice and decide whether I like it or not, I think you need to try it for a while to really see how you feel about it. That's about it you guys. If you have any questions don't be shy, I'll do my best to answer anything you may be unsure about.

Loads of Love

Kim xoxo
