Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Review

Hi my loves xoxo

Happy Christmas week everyone x Where did the time go at all, it only seems like yesterday that we were ringing in the new year and making loads of new year resolutions. I have probably only achieved half of my goals for 2015 but at least I got some of them done right? One of my resolutions was to branch out and try new things in life and get out of my comfort zone with my makeup routine. I had this palette on my wish list from the day it was launched and it was only a few weeks ago that I finally got a chance to get it. The colours in this palette are all colours that I would never have ever used in my routine. I always stuck to neutral browns and soft pastel colours, I would never have used grey's, blacks or anything that was too dark so this palette is completely out of my comfort zone.

On the flip side of that, the colours are Amazing!!! They are super pigmented and each and every shade is unique and stunning. They all compliment each other beautifully and if you were looking for eyeshadows to create a deep, sultry smoky eye then look no further, this is the palette for you. The colours blend like butter and are highly pigmented so a little goes a long way.

There are 12 colours in this palette and they are from left to right: High, DirtySweet, Radar, Armour, Slanted, Dagger, Black Market, Smoulder, Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen. They are a mixture of shimmer, satin and matte shades.

I have used this palette several times in the past few weeks and I absolutely love it. I knew this one would live up to the hype because all of the naked palettes are stunning. I use the naked 3 palette almost everyday. I used this palette to create a sultry smoky eye for my Christmas party but in all the rushing around and drama that the day had to offer (we ended up being later than expected) I completely forgot to take a picture of my makeup. I used High as my transition colour, I then added Dagger to my crease and slanted to my lid. I was going to leave it at that but when I added my eyeliner (Kat Von D's tattoo liner in Trooper) and my lashes (Ardell Demi Wispies Number 120) I decided that I wanted to darken up my crease so I added Black Market to the outer corner and blended until my arm nearly fell off but it was worth it. The whole look was stunning and all the colours went beautifully together.

This was the image I used to create the look. This picture doesn't even do the colours justice because they are so much nicer in person. All in all I have to say once again +Urban Decay Cosmetics have hit the nail on the head with this palette. Definitely a must for your makeup kit if you love all things dark and smoky.

Love

Kim xoxo
