I love love love getting dressed up for parties. Christmas is the time of year where you can wear sequins and glitter and everything sparkly and no one bats an eyelid. There are so many dresses to choose form to suit every shape and size. We had our Christmas party on Saturday and it was one of the best parties I have been to in a long long time. I opted for and all black outfit, I would have loved to wear something a bit more glitzy but I ran out of time to buy something but I loved what I wore in the end.
I've chosen 5 of the dresses that I absolutely love for the party season. When buying a dress always remember to dress for your shape. Not all styles of dresses will suit everyone so keep in mind what areas of your body you love and want to accentuate and what areas you want to 'disguise'. Choose a shape that will flatter your body and choose a dress that you feel absolutely amazing in.

This sequin dress is the ultimate party dress. It come in 2 colours, silver and gold and is available in sizes 8-16. This skater style dress suits most body types as it is fitted around the smallest part of your body and flares out from there so for those of you that are self conscious about your hips and bum, this dress is perfect for you. Ombre sequin Dress - +New Look
When it comes to Ombre I'm sold straight away. This gorgeous dress from New Look is a midi length with a bandeau top. It has a belted waist and would be ideal for someone that is super confident with their shoulders and arms, The darker bottom and lighter top draws attention to your waist so throw on some bronzer and highlighter and flaunt that gorgeous decolletage. I absolutely love asos for their Plus Size Brand. A lot of places only cater up to a 16 or 18 but asos plus brand cater for up to at least a size 24. This little party dress is super stunning and very elegant. Its empire waist and pleated front hangs beautifully and flatters any shape. Strappy Silver Midi Dress - +Missguided
This one is probably my favourite dress of them all. Its a stunning strappy body con midi dress is a beautiful slate/silver colour. Its quite simple but definitely packs a punch. It comes in sizes 4-16 and would look amazing on those of you with an hourglass figure as it hugs you in all the right places. If I could have each and every one of these dresses in my wardrobe I would but unfortunately not all of them would suit me. Don't be afraid to take a few risks with choosing a dress but just choose your shape, length and style carefully as some dresses wont flatter your body like others will. Choose accessories and shoes that will compliment your dress and always always always wear the correct underwear. Your underwear will make or break your outfit.
