Fall Fitness - What to wear for colder weather

Hi my loves xoxo

I have a love hate relationship with exercise. On one hand I know its beneficial for my health and its also great therapy if you are stressed or anxious but on the other hand I really don't like exercising when its freezing out. The thoughts of getting out of bed and getting into light gym clothes and going for a run seems like torture. I am a warm blooded person and I love the sun, give me sun 24/7 365 days a year and I would be so happy, unfortunately we don't get that in Ireland so we have got to work around the cold weather. I have vowed to get in better shape before Christmas so I will have to brave the cold winter months and as my sister says "suck it up princess".

I've done some research and I have chosen a shopping list of items that might help with the dread of working out in the cold. I find that if I am confident in my workout clothes I will push myself that bit harder and if it helps to keep me nice and cozy as well that's a bonus. Okay lets get stuck in.

First on my list are some bottoms. There are loads on the market but I'm a firm believer that if you spend that little bit extra you will get much better quality items that are flattering and extremely comfortable.

1 +Nike Pro Warm Static Training Leggings

These leggings are made with dri-FIT fabric and they are brushed on the inside to help you keep warm and cozy. They have stretch fabric and flat seams to they are like a second skin. They come in 3 different colours, Blue Lagoon, Light Crimson and Cool Grey and they retail on the Nike site for £50. I love the pattern and they look really comfortable, I might treat myself to these for accomplishing my 2 week weight loss goal. I have a long way to go but treating myself with things I really want rather than stuffing my face with food seems more sensible.

Next up are some tops that I couldn't resist mentioning. These are versatile, practical and extremely flattering.

+Nike Pro Warm Static Half-Zip Women's Training Top

This top is the match for the pro warm bottoms. If you know me at all you'll know I love to co-ordinate my outfits. I sometimes get really bored with the plain black workout clothes I have so I would love to mix it up with really nice matching colourful pieces. This top is made the same as the bottoms with a dri-FIT fabric and brushed on the inside for warmth. It has a high neck with a zip to keep you warm and stretch cuffs with thumb holes so your sleeves don't bunch up when you run. It comes in the same 3 colours as the bottoms and it retails for £50 on the site.

+SKECHERS USA Go Run 4

These trainers.... Oh my gosh. Quite possibly one of the best pair of trainers I have ever owned. They are super light and so so comfortable. I bought them last month when we went to the states and I absolutely love them. I bought them in a skechers outlet in Las Vegas and they were half price. I couldn't find them on the website but they have a range of other colours available. They are a little bit pricey at full price but believe me they are worth every penny, you will want them in every colour.

+Under Armour Cozy Ladies Headband

I love +Under Armour products, they are probably one of the best brands on the market and have been for quite some time. I'm sure I'm not the only one that hates when you are working out and your hair is all over your face, especially when I'm out running. This headband by Under Armour has a soft fleece feel and is super wide so it keeps your ears warm as well as your head. It is elasticated so one size fits most. You can get this one on the sportsdirect.com website and it comes in black and pink.

+Karrimor Thermal Gloves

These gloves are perfect for exercise outdoors. They have a soft fleece lined inner and are windproof so they keep your hands toasty on those cold Autumn mornings and evenings. They have a silicone printed palm and touchscreen fingertips which means you can shuffle through your music on your phone or i-pod without having to take them off. Ticks all the boxes for perfect fall workout gear.

I hope this helps a bit if you are looking for gear that is practical, gorgeous and worth buying if like me you need all the help you can get when it comes to getting out of a nice warm bed to go for a run. I hope you all have a lovely week and good luck with your fitness journey, whatever it may be.

Love

Kim xoxo
