Hi my loves xoxo
Here it is in all it's glory.... The make up haul from Sephora and Ulta in Las Vegas. Does anyone else get as excited about make up as me? Its like a little slice of heaven that gives back by helping you look fabulous every day x
Lets start with the 3 most amazing products I now own. +Kat Von D has been a huge inspiration to me for years, I have always admired her because she is unique, her individuality intrigues me and she never changes for any one, what you see is what you get. When I heard that she was lunching a makeup line I knew it would be right up my alley.
At the counter in Sephora I wanted to buy everything, it all looked amazing but I decided to reign myself in and pick up the items that I really wanted because I was limited for space to bring things home. I chose the Shade and Light contour palette, the Shade and Light contour brush and the Limited Edition Tattoo Eye Liner. When I swatched the colours from the palette I knew I had to have it. The powders were highly pigmented and silky smooth to touch. The highlight shades are Levitation, Lyric and Lucid. The contour shades are Subconscious, Shadowplay and Sombre. All 6 colours will suit every skin tone because you can layer the colours together to get your desired colour, need I say more? The Light and Shade brush is double ended, one for highlight and one for contour. The bristles are soft and packed tightly enough to give you enough control when applying. Its just gorgeous and it comes in its own little protective case. Last but not least is the eyeliner, its super black and so easy to apply. It goes on smooth and lasts for what seems like days. I will most definitely be buying these again once I run out.
This palette from Two Faced was created by social media sensation +Vegas_Nay and it does not disappoint. It contains 12 shadows, matte and shimmer and the colours are to die for. The palette itself is slim and is ideal for travelling. It is lightweight and it has every colour you would need all in one place so forget about packing 4 or 5 palettes, this one has it all. The colours are from top left to right: Chandelier, Millennial, Girls Night, #Selfie, Showgirl, Jackpot, Pink pearl, The strip, Follow Me, Double Tap, Golden Nugget and Sin City. Just gorgeous, it was love at first sight.
The day before we left I went back into a different Sephora to pick up the Items that the previous store didn't have and I kind of lost the run of myself. I originally had about $300 worth if things in my basket but I put some of them back because I would never have gotten them all home in one piece. I kept the items that I really wanted and I'm delighted with what I got.
+NARS Cosmetics has always cropped up in my Instagram and Facebook so I decided to pick up 2 of the "cult" favourites, Laguna Bronzer and Orgasm Blush. Both are way way nicer than I thought they would be and the packaging is gorgeous and sleek. The bronzer looks really dark in the compact but its a gorgeous shade that would suit the fairest of skin. Orgasm is a beautiful pink shade with a hint of gold through it, its highly pigmented so a little goes a long way.
Next on my list was a highlighter by +BECCA Cosmetics . I didn't know what shade I really wanted but I heard great things about Champagne Pop, a highlighter created by youtuber +Jaclyn Hill and it is quite possibly the nicest highlighter I have ever owned. It is a gorgeous champagne colour (hence the name) that glides on effortlessly and makes your face shimmer and pop. The other colours are on my list of things to buy and if they are half as nice as this one I don't think ill ever buy a different brand again. A truly gorgeous product that I will most definitely be repurchasing on my next visit to Sephora.
+Benefit Cosmetics is an extremely well known brand and I can see why. The range of cosmetics they do is extremely vast and the quality is excellent. I purchased the Gimme Brow eyebrow gel. This gel comes with a tiny little wand that's perfect for applying to the eyebrows. The gel has fibers in it that cling to your eyebrows giving them a plumper fuller look. It comes in 2 different colours, light-medium and medium-dark. The colours are lovely and its water resistant so your eyebrows wont run if your caught in a light shower. Benefit never cease to impress and it is definitely a brand that I would recommend to anyone.
+AnastasiaBeverlyHills is another brand that I would repurchase over and over again. I set out to buy the cream contour palette but they didn't have it so I purchased the powder one. The colours are amazing but what I really liked about this palette was that you could buy individual refills. You could customise it to suit your skin tone, I really liked this concept and I have never come across a palette that you could do this. Definitely another star buy. I also bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in blonde and its a must if you are serious about your brows. It comes in a range of colours so there's something everyone. It's waterproof, smudge proof and best of all its so easy to apply so it makes getting ready in the morning a treat. I have purchased this in the past and i will most definitely be purchasing it again.
And finally last but not least the +NYX Cosmetics wonder pencil. This little gem is a highlighter, eyeliner and lip liner all in one. It comes in 3 colours, light, medium and deep. I went with the lightest colour, being quite fair it complimented my skintone and highlighted beautifully. NYX cosmetics is becoming one of my favourite bargain beauty buys. Any products that I have tried so far haven't disappointed.
I also purchased a few items from the brand E.L.F. I had bought a few items last year, a primer, setting spray and a blusher and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. Its very much a budget make-up line but I find alot of the products quite good. There were a few purchases that didn't go down too well i.e. the make-up remover pads and a blusher in a peach tone. The make-up remover pads didn't work and the blusher had little or no colour. The products I bought this year are really nice. I repurchased the primer because I liked it so much and I also bought 2 blushers, both in pink tones and I love them. They have a full range of products from foundations and eye shadow palettes to make up brushes and eyelash curlers. At an extremely affordable price for the makeup savvy shopper its no wonder their products fly off the shelves.
That's about it for this make-up haul. I could have happily bought 2-3 times as much makeup in both sephora and ulta but unfortunately I ran out of space in my luggage as it was already packed to the gills, next time I'll bring a bigger bag.
Happy shopping Guys and Dolls if you do buy any of the items mentioned here I assure you, you will not be disappointed.
Have a lovely weekend x
Love
Kim xoxo
