SoSu Complete Contour Palette Review

Hello my Loves xoxo

I'm so sorry that I have been MIA for so long but its been a crazy few weeks and I haven't had a second to post anything new but I'm back and I have so much to tell you guys. Recently I have purchased loads of shiny new things to play with so hopefully I will have some amazing reviews in the coming weeks when I've had a chance to try everything. One of my most recent purchases was the complete contour palette from Suzanne Jackson. I've been following Suzanne from So Sue Me for quite some time and honestly this girl is an inspiration to many. She started her blog in 2010 and was voted one of the most influential fashion websites in Ireland, and Ireland's Best Blogger with Stellar Magazine in 2015.  Last year Suzanne launched her very own cosmetics range called SoSu and she released a range of Gel like nail polishes that are absolutely stunning, a must if you love long lasting polish with the most amazing colour pay off I have ever seen. They come in a wide variety of colours and are available on her website here http://www.sosu.ie/ and also in most Pharmacies across the country.

A few weeks ago Suzanne launched her second product for SoSu. Her complete Contour palette hit the shelves and it sold out everywhere in the blink of an eye including the warehouse for the website. The highly sought after palette was damn near impossible to get but I got my hands on one from +Cloud 10 Beauty. Suzanne decided to pre-sale a few hundred palettes after quite a few people missed out on getting one. The pre-sale went live at 8pm on Monday night and they sold out in minutes. A huge congratulations to Suzanne on the success of her palette.

So lets get down to the nitty gritty of this palette. It costs €29.95 and it comes with 6 pans inside. It has 4 cream colours and 2 powder colours. Shade 1 is a light cream concealer, shade 2 is a dark cream contour, shade 3 is a light banana highlight/setting powder, shade 4 is a light cream contour, shade 5 is a highlight/strobe cream and shade 6 is a dark bronzer/contour powder. These pans are huge in comparison to the other contour palettes that I own which is a bonus and a little really does go a long way.

The reason this is called a complete contour palette is because it really does have everything you need all in one place. Shade 1 and shade 4 can both be used as a foundation so this doubles up as a full face palette and shade 6 can be used as a beautiful rich crease colour for a gorgeous natural eye look. What caught my attention when I opened this palette was the smell. These creams and powders smell amazing. If you are a weirdo like me and smell everything before you use it I know you understand, it has to smell amazing or have no scent for me to put it on my face. A lot of time and effort went in to making this palette and Suzanne deserves all the credit she deserves for creating such a gorgeous product. The creams are buttery, smooth and go on like a dream and the powders are soft, light and they blend beautifully.

I used shade 1 under my eyes, between my brows and on my chin to brighten up my face. I used shade 3 to set the lightest parts of my face and this banana powder is as smooth as silk. It's very similar to the Kat Von D banana powder in colour but it applies like the Anastasia Beverly Hills banana powder, smooth and easy to blend. I then used shade 2 to contour my cheekbones, I brushed it up onto my temples and around my hairline to add warmth. I did need to blend it quite a bit as it is quite dark but it just melted beautifully into my skin and blended like butter. A little goes a long way with these products so be careful not to add too much or it could get quite cakey.

I used shade 5 to highlight the highest parts of my face. When I opened the palette first I was a bit disappointed with the colour of the highlighter, it wasn't as glowy as I had hoped but when I swatched it I fell in love. Its stunning.... It's perfect for that dewy, slightly golden yet silvery pop of colour on your cheeks. . Its not too extreme but it adds just enough of a glow for everyday wear. I decided to go for a really subtle contour as I was just going out for the day but with this palette you could create a stunning, dramatic and bold contour for a night out.

Here are the swatches of the colours from the palette. Shade 3 and shade 6 are powder colours and 1,2,4 and 5 are cream shades. All the colours are extremely pigmented and gorgeous. If there isn't a colour here that suits your skin tone don't be afraid to mix some of the colours together. For a contour colour that's not as dark as shade 2 but not as light as shade 4 try mixing shade 2 and shade 1 together for a nice golden brown shade. The good thing about cream colours is that you can mix them to create unique shades to suit your personal needs.

All in all I am extremely happy with this palette. Its lightweight and quite thin aswell so I will definitely be bringing it away with me in April. If you can get your hands on this palette (I know they are sold out but they will be available again) definitely pick one up.

That's about it for now Guys and Dolls. As always feel free to get in touch if you have any questions as I would be happy to answer any you may have.

Love
Kim xoxo
